  • My favorite scene in Ribos Operation is at the beginning of part three. This whole little sequence: The Graff is going to kill the Doctor. The Doctor moves Garron in front of him. Garron gets down on his knees to beg for mercy, leaving the Doctor exposed again so he also crouches down. Graff pulls Garron up and says "Get up, you cringing cur!" The Doctor get's all authoritative "Yes, get up, you cringing cur!" The Graff tries to strike Garron and the Doctor grabs his arm and says "Don't hit the cringing cur" He slaps the Doctor across the face with his glove and the Doctor grabs the glove and slaps him back. Just hilarious, perfect timing. This is a fantastic story. One of the best I've watched. And holds up 35 years later. It definitely appeals to a more mature audience. On the DVD commentary Tom Baker asked Mary Tamm if she thinks children were able to follow the plot. I wondered the same thing. A very smart script. It's good and holds up 35 years later.
